WHY WORK WITH ME?

Rick LeClair, Owner

I started in the Medicare business in 2009 and I absolutely love what I do. Working with people that are newly eligible to Medicare is a real passion of mine. Many people that work for an employer during their working days have their monthly premium taken out of their paycheck and they go to the doctor when they need to go. They don’t need to think about it much after that. And then you retire. Congratulations!! Then you also get to figure out what in the world you’re going to do regarding Medicare?

The first step in the process is to sit down with you and discuss your individual healthcare situation. That will entail discussing your healthcare needs and wants, what you’re comfortable with budget wise and so forth. Once we have a pretty good idea of your situation, then I go through a few pages of a very informative booklet for folks that are new to Medicare. It’s sort of a ‘general overview’ of Medicare. It gives you a lot of information without causing your eyes to glaze over!

Then we can get in to the various Medicare plans on the market – both the Medicare Advantage plans and the Medicare Supplement plans, along with the Part D plans as well. Being an independent agent, I am contracted with pretty much all of the major Medicare Insurance Carriers, which are listed in my website. I get paid the same by whichever insurance company you pick – this enables me to give you true unbiased information. My job is to educate my clients so that you can make a good informed decision on which company and plan to go with.

I’m also there for you as a resource not just when you sign up, but throughout the year as well. I always touch base with my clients each year just prior to ‘open enrollment’ in the fall. If you are considering making a change with your plan, or just have some questions – call me! I can almost always save you time and frustration if you call me with any questions. That’s what I do for my clients.

There are many agents out there that can only sell for just one company – we call them ‘exclusive or captive’ agents in the insurance industry. If you’re sitting down with someone who is ‘exclusive or captive’ to just one company, whose best interest are they acting in? Yours or theirs?

I hope you will allow me the opportunity to be your ‘Medicare guy’ – as I call myself. I believe you will see the value that I bring to the table for my clients. Thanks very much.
